Welcome to Alto Racing

Welcome to the Alto performance race team website. We are a team where the future is
always in our minds and pushing technology to its limits is the norm.

Our past bikes have featured one of the first shower/pico style injector systems run on a bike,
one of the first bikes to use high flow electric water pumps, structural Carbon fibre seat units
and fairings, hub centre steering technology, diamond like carbon (DLC) coatings from
Formula 1 and many, many more.

The list of first use and early pioneer technology goes on but we do not rest on our laurels (and we have won a a fair few of them too) instead we continue to push the engineering to always make everything faster, lighter and most of all more fun!

We work with an amazing group of sponsors and interesting people. From Phd and MSc
students at Cranfield university to Formula 1 suppliers and engineers and ordinary people
who are “just interested”. Everyone is welcome. If you find what we do makes you want to
get involved or come to a race meeting then please don’t be a stranger, sign up for the news
letter or come and see us, we are professional but we hope very approachable too.

If you think we make stuff that is just “whacky” then perhaps it is worth remembering, All
the bikes ever built by Alto performance have won races at national level and now we are
going for it with our new superbike. 200bhp and 155kg wet. It has a totally new and radical
aerodynamics package and redesigned chassis with hub centre steering and some special
electronics.
