Running Costs

Running Costs

The cost for us to build the bike and run it for a single year, including the money or goods to the value provided by sponsors, the van, the equipment, and hospitality, is approximately £150,000.00 . To see a rundown of the costing for just a single race meeting, see below.

We have to say that we simply could not do this without our sponsors.
So how much does it cost to run a simple race team? Well the following table give you a guide to the cost

WHAT IF HE CRASHES??

A crash, for instance, which damages the fairings and wipes out one side is approx £800 – £1000 to repair. Plus the cost of the riders leathers, boots, gloves and a new helmet.

Highsides are the worst, because as the bike tumbles it tends to take out tanks, seat units, fairings, frames, the wheels, and the ECU. A bill for £2000-£5000 is not uncommon.

Notice there is no allowance for :

wages (No member of the team is paid. We feel this is important as a point of principle.) Expenses (No member of the team draws expenses. All the money raised goes to the Bike) Accommodation
Food or hospitality

Clothing, so important for a good team and a professional look – sponsored by Goodridge.

Tooling – you can not build the best bike with cheap or poor quality tools – sponsored by Cromwell.
Awnings x 2 and cooking equipment

Vans x 2 and servicing etc….

That is because we find the money for these either from the teams own pocket OR our ever generous sponsors.
